The Gospel written by Matthew has been called ‘the most important book in the world’ and ‘the most powerful book ever written’.

Matthew writes his gospel with a clear purpose – to show that Jesus is indeed the Christ-Messiah, sent from God to be Israel’s long-promised Redeemer-King and Saviour of the world. In Jesus Christ God has achieved all that He purposed for mankind.
